THIS ROLE MANDATES THAT YOU MUST BE A LICENSED PHARMACIST IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACISTS (OR CURRENTLY LICENSED IN ANOTHER CANADIAN JURISICTION AND WILLING TO COMPLETE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION IN ALBERTA).


WHAT THIS ROLE OFFERS IS A VERY GENEROUS HOURLY RATE, SIGNING BONUS, RELOCATION ASSISTANCE, COMPANY BENEFITS, PENSION PLAN AND A SCHEDULE THAT IS PRIMARILY MONDAY TO FRIDAY.

JOB DUTIES:

  • MANAGES/DELIVERS A HIGH STANDARD OF PHARMACY FUNCTIONS WHICH INVOLVE ACCURATE PREPARATION AND COUNSELLING OF THE MEDICATION.

  • SUPPORTS, LEADS, DEVELOPS THE PHARMACY TEAM IN THE EXPANDED SCOPE-OF-PRACTICE, INCLUDING MEDICATION REVIEWS, DEVELOPING CARE PLANS, INJECTIONS AND THE HOME HEALTH CARE LINE OF BUSINESS.

  • PROACTIVELY WORKS TO ENHANCE THE SUCCESS/GROWTH OF THE BUSINESS.

  • MANAGES COMMUNICATION, ORGANIZATION, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EXECUTION OF THE PHARMACY.

  • BUILDS/MAINTAINS RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS/HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS/TEAM MEMBERS WHILE ENSURING THAT THE ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE ARE MAINTAINED.

  • IS PROACTIVE, RESULTS ORIENTED AND FOCUSED ON EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

  • DEMONSTRATES THE DAY TO DAY BEHAVIORS/ACTIONS THAT ALIGN WITH THE CLIENT'S- VISION, MISSION, VALUES, BRAND AND FOCUS ON SAFETY.


REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • YOU MUST HAVE A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHARMACY.

  • YOU ARE ACTION ORIENTED, CUSTOMER FOCUSED, AND WORK WELL WITHIN THE TEAM ENVIRONMENT.

  • YOU ARE HONEST, TRUST WORTHY, RESULTS ORIENTED IN ACHIEVING THE END RESULT FOR THE PHARMACY.

  • YOU BELIEVE IN BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS, COLLABORATING IN DELIVERING SOLUTIONS AND RECOGNIZE THAT DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES MEET SHARED OBJECTIVES.

  • YOU ARE ABLE TO STAND FOR THE SHIFT REQUIREMENTS AND CAN LIFT UP TO 15KG (35LBS).
